The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Council on Rail is holding its annual winter meeting Feb. 19 through Feb. 22 in Washington, D.C.

Attendees get the opportunity to engage with key federal, congressional, and rail industry leaders during the council’s annual “legislative update,” as well as connect with class I and short line freight rail partners, Amtrak, public and private sector rail advocacy groups and others.

Key industry speakers at this year’s winter meeting include: Jennifer Homendy, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board; Richard Anderson, president and CEO of Amtrak; and Paul Nissenbaum, associate administrator for railroad policy and development at the Federal Railroad Administration.
