USDOT’s Chao to Deliver Keynote at AASHTO’s 2019 Annual Meeting

U.S. Department of Secretary Elaine Chao (seen above) will deliver the keynote address and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials 20019 annual meeting on Tuesday October 8.
Additional speakers during the October 8 plenary session at the organization’s annual meeting include Missouri Governor Michael Parson (R) and Don Butler, executive director for connected vehicles and services at Ford Motor Company.

Butler is responsible for Ford’s global integrated connectivity vision and strategy and will discuss the automaker’s perspective on the role autonomous vehicles may play in the transportation industry.
AASHTO’s annual meeting will also hold sessions on a range of issues related to transportation policy, from infrastructure funding and finance to the deployment of connected and autonomous vehicles.
Credentialed news media are welcome to attend AASHTO’s annual meeting; journalists must report to the registration desk to receive a news media badge to be displayed while attending the meeting.
