U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R) will deliver remarks on Monday, November 9. Additionally, AASHTO is hosting eight knowledge and spotlight sessions during its four-day annual meeting to discuss some of the most important issues facing the nation’s transportation sector.
Panelists will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the nation’s transportation system, how state departments of transportation are incorporating civil rights principles into their programs, as well as highlighting the need to build a safer and more resilient transportation network at a time when hurricanes, wildfires, and cybersecurity threats are growing in frequency and severity.
