The National Operations Center of Excellence (NOCoE) – a partnership of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the Institute for Transportation Engineers, and ITS America, with support from the Federal Highway Administration – recently named the winners of its 2021 Transportation Systems Management and Operations or TSMO Awards competition.
NOCoE said in a statement that the four winners of its 2021 TSMO contest are:
- Best TSMO Project: Pennsylvania Department of Transportation – TSMO Performance Program and Traffic Operations Analytics Tool
- Agency Improvement: North Carolina Department of Transportation – TIM Training Track
- Work zones: Iowa Department of Transportation – Comprehensive Work Zone Management Program
- Project Selection: Pennsylvania Department of Transportation – Regional Operations Plans
Those winners now become the nominees for NOCoE’s Overall TSMO Award, given later this year.
