The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, an equal opportunity employer, is seeking to hire a meeting specialist; a full-time position located in the organization’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.

The meeting specialist is responsible for coordinating the overall logistics and support for AASHTO’s meetings and member services department.

The position also coordinates with the user groups, task force meetings, and workshops of AASHTOWare, a division of AASHTO that offers a suite of transportation software products delivered through a collaborative business model with state departments of transportation across the country.

The meeting specialist will also work with staff, contractors, vendors, and hoteliers as needed.

A candidate for this position should have three to five years in meeting or hotel conference service and experience multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment with responsibility for tracking and managing multiple projects at once. A bachelor’s degree is preferred with a concentration in business or hospitality management desired.
