The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials – an equal opportunity employer – seeks to hire a meetings specialist; a full-time position located in the organization’s Washington, D.C., headquarters office.

This position is responsible for coordinating the overall logistics and support of AASHTOWare user groups and task force meetings, and workshops. The meetings specialist also works with staff, contractors, vendors, and hoteliers as needed on a variety of projects in coordinating conference and event logistics.

This position requires three to five years in meeting or hotel conference service and experience multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment with responsibility for tracking and managing multiple projects at once. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a concentration in business or hospitality management desired.

Candidates for this job must also have the ability to travel approximately 30 days annually and work non-standard business hours as needed to support AASHTO meetings and should have a strong working knowledge of CVENT, including the ability to run database queries and reports.
