Those registering by April 22 will be entered automatically into a raffle for a “welcome basket” from Louisiana DOTD. That basket includes a two-night stay at the Omni Royal Orleans; two tickets to the National World War 2 Museum; a certificate for beignets and coffee at Café Du Monde; a $200 gift card to Maypop; a $50 gift card to Brennan’s; two “Aviate MSY” hats; and a Mardi Gras Indians Freedom’s Dance coffee table book.

Experts from all over the country will gather at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside for sessions that highlight equity in transportation, right-of-way issues – such as broadband, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and effective local partnerships – and other popular topics that are top-of-mind for state departments of transportation and their partner agencies.

The meeting will feature four “knowledge sessions” focused on specific industry issues:

  • How State and Local Partnerships can Achieve Shared Goals
  • Integrating Resilience into Decision-Making: The Need for Metrics and Methods
  • Using the ‘Equity Imperative’ to Integrate Transportation Systems
  • Leveraging Data to Manage Information in the Digital World

Several AASHTO committees and councils will also convene during the AASHTO Spring Meeting; a gathering that also serves as a forum for the AASHTO Board of Directors and Executive Committee to conduct preparations for fiscal year 2023.
